All manuscripts including data generated within the MS Center, independent of whether MS Center personnel are included as co-authors, should include the following statement in the acknowledgement section:
"Mass spectrometry analyses were performed in the Center for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry Research at MCW."
The decision to include Center scientists as co-authors on manuscripts is determined based on the nature of the contribution and is carefully discussed during the initial project consultation and specified in the Project Charter. We follow recommendations put forth by the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities.
Manuscript Preparation Assistance:
During manuscript preparation
MS Center scientists will assist with manuscript writing and editing.
All proteomics journals require data to be deposited into public repositories
Many other journals are also enforcing this requirement. The MS Center can provide guidance on how you can ensure your manuscript is compliant, and all data necessary to complete this step are delivered electronically to Investigators upon delivery of the Project Report.
When your manuscript is accepted
Please send us the title and reference when your manuscript is accepted for publication. This information is critical to maintaining support for the Center, including investments in new instrumentation and technologies.
